Broker Agency & Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities

My day-to-day role is to service and develop agents so they can then maximise opportunities for growth – for Granite Underwriting and the wider group – acting, at times, as an intermediary between Granite Underwriting and our brokers.

Personal Background

I come from a small family with only one sibling. Having a small family, we are all very close and try to spend as many days out together as possible, at times spending it on the family canal boat. I am an avid follower of football and played a lot in my youth, before a knee injury put me on the side lines; taking up a boxing circuit in its place, I try to keep as fit as possible.

As well as being a lover of sports, I fancy myself as a decent chef and enjoy trying out new recipes, as well as perfecting my skills on existing recipes I have grown accustomed to. My weekends now regularly consist of watching my boyhood football club Liverpool FC and walking my pet Husky with my partner.

Employment History

I joined the Granite group back in 2011; since then, I have moved around different departments building experience and knowledge, watching the company grow each year. To see how much the company has grown in that time is amazing to see and to have been a part of it.

What Granite Underwriting means to you & your ambitions for the company

Granite Underwriting has set me off on a career path that I am truly proud of and continue to be so. I am thankful for the opportunity that was given to me with minimal experience, but a drive to do well. To have further involvement to grow the company using the skills I have learned along the way is a massive ambition of mine.

Biggest milestone over the next 12 months

The biggest milestone we hope to achieve is seeing the company become more profitable over the next 12 months by bringing on board more brokers to work with and grow the brand.
