Personal Background

I live in Preston and am married with 2 daughters (plus my west highland terrier – Alfie). I support Manchester City (a lone voice in the midst of an office full of Everton/Liverpool supporters).

Employment History

Employed in the Insurance Industry for 34 years, starting my career in 1987 with Iron Trades Insurance in Preston.
In that time I have worked in numerous roles, including personal lines, claims, and commercial lines. My roles have included Senior Underwriter, Development Underwriter, and Head of Motor Trade for NIG Manchester Branch. Previous employers include: GRE,AXA,NIG and Arista, working in the Preston and Manchester Markets. I have over 15 years experience of working in the Motor Trade sector. Passed professional qualification Dip CII in 2005. Joined Granite Underwriting in January 2020 and am based in the Formby Office.

Biggest milestone over the next 12 months

Building and developing a team throughout the Covid Pandemic, to maintain an efficient service to our brokers through an extremely testing period.
